Left Falls for Fake News: Sarah Palin Didn’t Criticize Black Santa

A story claiming former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin called for the boycott of the Mall of America because it hired an African American Santa Claus is false.

The story was posted by Newslo and some affiliated websites, and claims Palin told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis, “Santa was always white in the Bible.” It’s been widely shared on Facebook.

But the Star Tribune never ran such a story. And the newspaper’s managing editor, Suki Dardarian, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that none of her reporters ever spoke with Palin about the mall’s hiring of its black Santa Clause.

UPDATE: Palin linked to this article on her Facebook page and added this comment: “Dear Democrats, this is what ‘fake news’ actually looks like, and I guarantee you no Trump voter fell for this.” source
