Sanders Says: Democrats Lost Election Because They Focused On Liberal Elite Not Working Class

Yesterday on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said President-elect Donald Trump won because “Democrats have focused too much with a liberal elite” while ignoring the working class.

Sanders said, “How does it happen that they win elections and Democrats lose? I think what the conclusion is, is that that is raising incredible sums of money from wealthy people … but has ignored to a very significant degree, working class, middle class, and low income people in this country.”

That’s how Donald Trump won.
