Hillary Still Unlikely To Win Popular Vote, Protesters Don’t Get It

Never before in America have we seen people protest the results of an election that was won fair and square based on rules we have had for hundreds of years.

I am actually a little embarrassed for the protesters. Not just because they look like crybabies or because their hypocrisy is on international display at this point concerning tolerance, violence, and even racism (yes, black people can be racists too). But what I am more fascinated by is the complete lack of understanding, not just in the reason for the electoral college, but because they don’t even seem to understand how the popular vote works.

First of all, the reason we have the Electoral College is so that New York and California don’t decide the election every single time. It gives other states a voice. It’s that simple but there are even more reasons that will be left for another article.

Concerning the popular vote, the protesters are assuming that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by a small amount and that Donald Trump won the electoral vote big league. But we actually will not have a final result of the popular vote unless all of the votes are counted. And no, I am not talking about the rigged aspect of the election, though I could make an argument for that, especially in states like Virginia where the governor, at the last minute, by executive order, allowed felons to vote. There were about 60,000 of them in the state and that is the amount that Hillary Clinton won by in the state of Virginia. But that is another article. When I say ‘count all the votes’ I’m actually talking about votes that are stored for back up in case the in-state vote count is too close. Consider this from American Thinker:

First of all, she’s probably not going to win the actual number of votes cast. She may win the number of votes counted, but not the votes cast.

States don’t count their absentee ballots unless the number of outstanding absentee ballots is larger than the state margin of difference. If there is a margin of 1,000 votes counted and there are 1,300 absentee ballots outstanding, then the state tabulates those. If the number of outstanding absentee ballots wouldn’t influence the election results, then the absentee ballots aren’t counted.

Who votes by absentee ballot? Students overseas, the military, businesspeople on trips, etc. The historical breakout for absentee ballots is about 67-33% Republican. In 2000, when Al Gore “won” the popular vote nationally by 500,000 votes and the liberal media screamed bloody murder, there were 2 million absentee ballots in California alone. A 67-33 breakout of those yields a 1.33 to 0.66 million Republican vote advantage, so Bush would have gotten a 667,000-vote margin from California’s uncounted absentee ballots alone! So much for Gore’s 500,000 popular vote “victory.” (That was the headline on the N.Y. Times, and it was the lead story on NBC Nightly News, right? No? You’re kidding.)

The mainstream media could clear this up. But they have already been proven to be in the can for the Democrats – especially the Clintons. So anything they can do to discredit the legitimate election of Donald Trump, they will do. But just as Wikileaks exposed Hillary, the new media, of which Resistance Feed is proud to be a part, has proven itself to be a strong equalizer and a source of true information. So share this post on Facebook, Twitter, and email it to your friends who think that Hillary Clinton won more votes than Donald Trump. If we truly counted all the votes, the protesters would look like even bigger idiots. –@RhettOctober
